THE NATURE OF GOD: AUTUMN’S SPLENDOR DAILY DEVOTIONALS
“Sally’s love for the Lord and the great outdoors…finds its way into nearly every one of her devotionals … (She) chooses to focus on “commonplace” things … to highlight the miraculous amid the seemingly mundane.” Patti Lacy, author
“A gift from God. Very spiritually inspiring and I love the larger print.” Ann Moline
AUTUMN: Soft air infused with the sweet scent of falling poplar leaves. Joy in scuffing through their thick layers. No mosquitoes. Pink sunrises and red moons. Flights of geese heading south. Pumpkin pies. Last of the zucchinis.
The word fall is probably used because of the fall of leaves and the seasonal fall of daylight. With their descent, my thoughts turn to those of Holy Spirit, who convicts me of my fall into sin.
The Holy Spirit also comforts us in our trials and consumes us with the fire of His zeal to reach out in love and service to those in need—all for God’s glory and joy.
We can do nothing for our God without the help and prompting of the Holy Spirit. These devotionals include, or imply, this truth.
